CONTRACTS

Promises are made all the time, with one party agreeing to do one thing in exchange for the other party doing another thing.  However, promises are sometimes broken.  When that happens, legal questions arise about whether a contract existed and, if so, what were the terms, and was there a breach.  In addition to the common law rules regarding contracts, when a sale of goods is involved the Uniform Commercial Code becomes applicable.
